Gondar

Gondar is a city and former capital of Ethiopia. The city is located in the Semien Gondar Zone of the Amhara Region, north of Lake Tana. It is most famous for its collection of castles and palaces in the Fasil Ghebbi (Royal Enclosure), a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
