Adadi Mariam

Adadi Mariam is a unique rock-hewn church, believed to have been built by King Lalibela in the 12th century. It is the southernmost of Ethiopia's rock-hewn churches and remains an active place of worship, providing a more intimate and less-visited alternative to Lalibela.
